Summary: In this thesis we undertake a critical analysis of the work of the Venezuelan writer Milagros Socorro (Maracaibo, 1960) based on her texts El abrazo del tamarindo (2008), Cuentos guajiros (2011) and Actos de salvajismo y otros relatos (2009), aiming to address the narrative voices and performative features of his writing (RAVETTI, 2002). We highlight the author's situated positioning by
lending her ear to those who have been little or poorly listened to, privileging women and Venezuelan indigenous peoples. The problems of the recreated women and their stories are consistent with the coloniality prevailing in our Western societies in the instituted forms of the logic of capital. The fictionalized women dialogue from their ethnic-racial origins, their social gender roles and their circumstances. The predominant narrative voice in the construction of the plots is that of the protagonist enunciator, who can share her role with other voices simultaneously. The main performative features in the pieces addressed are the utobiographical gesture and the musical performative mark. The recreation of indigenous nations and their ancestral worldviews prefigures, in
turn, the criticism of the violence of the Creole world and the State towards the descendants of the first settlers that still persists. Finally, in the tradition of important Venezuelan authors such as Rómulo Gallegos, Antonia Palacios and Miguel Otero Silva, Milagros Socorro's literature creates territorial imagination, with Machiques and the Sierra de Perijá as the center and thematizes the
educational project of our country as an unfinished instance.
